Living Near Glasgow Airport
Glasgow is an ever changing city. While places like George’s square and Glasgow Central Station remain in tact, many of the postcodes around Glasgow Airport are expanding with new homes and communities.
Around the airport, 200 hectares of land is available for redevelopments to improve the local area and airport’s facilities. There’s been talk about the airport-side’s redevelopment including another runway and extending one or both of the terminals. This could mean more tax-free goodies and stores for airport passengers as well as more destinations from Glasgow and job opportunities for local residents.
The development may cause issues with local residents because of noise pollution, traffic and such but it’ll also offer extra facilities and local jobs. This could have a positive impact on house prices in Glasgow and the surrounding area because of the extra opportunities and expanding residential areas… only time will tell.
